Post route map signed by Charles Lindbergh
This postal map has been marked to indicate the path of Contract Airmail Route number 2 (CAM-2). The Post Office Department awarded this Chicago–St. Louis route to Robertson Aircraft in October 1925. The contract was for five round trips each week, with stops in Peoria and Springfield, Illinois.
Before tackling the Atlantic Ocean in 1927, Charles Lindbergh flew the Chicago-St. Louis airmail route for Robertson Aircraft. Lindbergh signed this map in remembrance of his time as an airmail pilot.
