"Tales of the Pony Express: A Letter From Lincoln" No. 829 comic book

Description:

Although the Pony Express only lasted for eighteen months, today the name evokes thrilling adventures of man and horse against the odds, as well as legends that have lived on in books, movies, television, and this comic book. This work of fiction is about a secret peace treaty between President Abraham Lincoln and the Paiute Indians, who were threatening to attack the United States military. Lieutenant Saunders, Lincoln's secret diplomat for the American Indians, is held for treason. The Pony Express rider is tasked with carrying the letter from Lincoln to halt Saunders' execution.
