Arago: Household Mailboxes

Household Mailboxes

City Free Delivery mailbox

Description:

It was easy to discern when mail was present in this glass box. The visibility afforded convenience, but little privacy. Giving the mail some protection from the elements, the hinged lid also served as hardware for mounting the mailbox to the exterior of a building. The metal top and glass body are not attached to each other, rather the box's rim rests on the thin metal loop and it simply hangs suspended.
