America Discovered

On June 14, 2010, a team from the Smithsonian National Postal Museum conducted a number of presentations and workshop with students at Pine Spring Elementary School (Falls Church, Virginia).

During the workshop which led to the creation of the following online exhibit, students chose important events in American history and then prepared reasons why these particular events should be included in an online exhibit.

The workshop explored the difficulties in selecting and grouping these important events in American history.

Every aspect of the following online exhibit highlighting a diverse group of events in American history was selected, written and organized by Pine Spring Elementary students.
