Cadillac Comes To Detroit

In 1701, a frenchman named Antoine Cadillac traveled from France to Montreal then onto the area now known as Detroit. Once in Detroit, as the first European Settlers, Cadillac and his men built a fort to easily be able to control the fur trade of the Great Lakes region. Cadillac was also accompanied by the first French women to come to Michigan.
