Interages

Since 1986, Interages has been improving the lives of children and older adults through innovative intergenerational programming in Montgomery County, Maryland. Interages recruits, trains and manages adult volunteers age 50 and older to mentor and tutor children. Interages volunteers have helped thousands of children and youth from hundreds of schools in Montgomery County.

Rosa Parks Middle School:

Rosa Parks Middle School, located in Olney, Maryland, is a part of Montgomery County Public Schools. One of the first schools named for Rosa Parks, we strive to challenge our students academically while instilling Rosa Park's legacy of courage, respect, perseverance, and humanism.

Participants in 'Heroes on Stamps' intergenerational initiative made possible through the collaboration of the Smithsonian National Postal Museum and Interages, Inc.
