This 5-cent Christmas postage stamp was first placed on sale in Silver Bell, Arizonaa, on November 2, 1965.
Designed by Robert Jones, the stamp is based on a watercolor rendering of an early American weathervane by Lucille Gloria Chabot. The 1840 weathervane was from the People's Methodist Church in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
This stamp was printed on the Giori press and issued in panes of one hundred with printings of 1 billion and 200 million.
