A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Wallace Cleland is a highly respected stamp collector who has served as an advisor to the National Postal Museum. He specializes in United States plate number blocks, strips and singles. Twelve of his research papers have been published by the United States Stamp Association and he has served as an editor for the Durland Standard Plate Number Catalog. Mr. Cleland has been recognized numerous times for his contributions to philately. His many awards include a George W. Brett Century of Service Award from the United States Stamp Society and a Lifetime Achievement Award in Philately from the National Postal Museum.
