A U. S. soldier and factory worker put the squeeze on the leaders of the Axis powers in this cachet by George Richardson of the District of Columbia. The V for Victory was becoming a reality ... the war would be over on all fronts within the coming year.

A six-cent United States Scott C25 (air mail postage) is affixed to this serviceman's cover that passed through the Naval censor and the Fleet Post Office. Postmarked U. S. Navy, October 22, 1944. Stamped "Edward Andrew Miller Sp., (M) 3-c USNR, Clerks Box Navy 115, Fleet Post Office, New York City, New York."
