The U. S. Coast Guard insignia and vessel create the cachet for this serviceman's cover passed by Naval censor. A six-cent United States Scott C25 (air mail postage) is affixed. Postmarked U. S. Navy, October 28, 1944.

George Sadworth designed the cachet that was printed by thermography, resulting in a raised design.
