World War II Patriotic cover
"Protect Your Liberty With War Bonds"
The serviceman's cover was sent under Free Franking from Greenwood Army Air Field, Mississippi, and postmarked January 25, 1944. On the cover face is a patriotic label (For God and Country) using the traditional icons of the flag and the V for Victory. But an elongated Christian cross is also included. On the reverse is a second patriotic label, Poland ... First To Fight!, illustrated with the Polish flag. Richard P. Boone of Wilmington, North Carolina, published the cachet.
