The serviceman's cover passed through Naval censor and the Fleet Post Office, New York City before delivery to Buffalo. Postmarked U. S. Navy, October 18, 1944. A six-cent Scott C25 (air mail postage) is affixed. The cachet design that incorporates a tank and airplane is by George Richardson of the District of Columbia.
