World War II Patriotic cover
"Luxembourg...The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was invaded by German troops on May 10, 1940 in violation of a treaty guaranteeing the integrity and neutrality of its territory. In spite of the occupation of their country, the people carry on their fight for freedom under a provisional government having its headquarters in Montreal, Canada."
The cachet depicts the Luxembourg crest and the above indictment of German actions against the country. A horizontal pair of United States Scott 905 are affixed to the cover which was passed by Naval censor and postmarked U. S. Navy, November 29, 1944.
