Arago: Baggage Tokens and Tags

Owney received this railway baggage check token while riding on the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad. The token shows that it would have been used for baggage originating in Washington, D.C. The tag was manufactured by Edmund Hoole’s Manufacturing Company of New York City.
