Owney received this token from someone in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The token has the phrase, “Love, Purity, Fidelity” on one side, which indicates it came from someone who was a member of the Freemasons. There is no additional information on the token to indicate when it was given to the dog and at the time, no postal workers from the Cedar Rapids post office were named Horace.
