Description:

Owney received this tag from William G. Hull, who served as the postmaster of Plymouth, New Hampshire from 1895-1899. Prior to his service as postmaster of Plymouth, Hull had served as the first postmaster of Livingston, New Hampshire in 1881. Hull dated this tag as “M. 5. 96.” The town of Plymouth was reached by the Boston, Concord, Montreal & White Mountains railroad as well as the Pemigewasset Valley Railroad during Owney’s lifetime.
