Description:
Owney received this tag from Fred D. Lockwood of Hornellsville, New York. The tag is one of two Owney received from businessmen in that city. The other was from Mason L. Wafer, whose business may have been related to the roller skating industry. Lockwood was a clerk in his father’s shoemaking business. Hornellsville was on at least two railway lines that Owney traveled, the New York & Erie and the Buffalo and New York City lines.
