On September 22, 2009, in Washington, DC, the Postal Service issued a 44-cent Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States commemorative stamp in four designs.
The stamp, designed by Lisa Catalone-Castro and Rodolfo Castro of Bethesda, Maryland, honors the contributions of Associate Justices Joseph Story, Louis D. Brandeis, Felix Frankfurter, and William J. Brennan, Jr.
Ashton Potter produced 8 million stamps using the offset process with microprinting. The agency produced the stamps in a pressure-sensitive souvenir sheet of four stamps.
